The Evolution of Hip-Hop Fashion

After reading an article about the growing popularity of hip-hop fashion, I realized it's directly affected by hip-hp music. The more popular the music is becoming in the commercial world, the more the urban fashion industry is becoming popular. I am on the fence about this because it's great that urban fashion is getting respect and recognition, but I don't want it to become too commercial. What do you think? Is commercialization on the way? Or has it already come and gone?
